Enterprise Modeling Environment
Designed a complex enterprise modeling platform that enables economists to build frameworks, manage variables, connect data sources, and perform analysis within a unified workflow. Led UX strategy, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing to reduce complexity, improve discoverability, and support scalable decision-making.

The Challenge
Economists were required to move across multiple interconnected modules to build frameworks, edit variables, manage databases, and perform analysis. Key workflow dependencies were often hidden, creating confusion, increasing cognitive load, and reducing user confidence when completing complex modeling tasks.

Discovery
Conducted stakeholder interviews and working-group sessions
Analyzed current-state workflows and product architecture
Identified pain points, workflow breakdowns, and mental model mismatches
Definition
Mapped end-to-end framework creation workflows
Defined information architecture and navigation patterns
Established core user journeys and task flows
Design
Redesigned navigation hierarchy to align with user mental models
Simplified framework creation and variable management workflows
Created scalable interaction patterns for future platform growth
Developed high-fidelity prototypes and reusable components
Validation
Facilitated moderated usability sessions with economists
Collected qualitative feedback and System Usability Scale (SUS) metrics
Iterated designs based on observed behaviors and workflow friction points
Outcome
The redesigned experience transformed a fragmented modeling process into a more intuitive, scalable workflow. The work established a foundation for future product growth while improving discoverability, reducing cognitive load, and increasing confidence in framework creation and analysis tasks.
