Project Overview
Client: Lyriem, a pre-seed fintech startup
Industry: SaaS, Fintech, Ecommerce
Timeline: 6 months (2025)
My Role: Founding UXUI Lead/ Graphic Designer
Lyriem = B2C2C marketplace
Primary users: individual freelancers (consumers)
Secondary users: individual clients (consumers or SMBs)
System layer: contracts, payments, reputation (platform logic)
Lyriem is a consumer-facing, two-sided marketplace designed to help individual freelancers and clients discover services, commit to work, and complete transactions with confidence.
The product prioritizes trust, transparency, and clarity for non-enterprise users navigating contracts and payments independently.
Problem
Freelancers and independent clients face recurring friction when working together:
Unclear scope and expectations
Payment disputes and delays
Low trust between first-time collaborators
Tools that assume enterprise literacy rather than consumer needs
Most existing platforms optimize for scale, not for individual decision-making under risk.
Design Goal
Design a consumer-first marketplace experience that enables users to:
Quickly understand who they’re working with
Commit to work without ambiguity
Complete transactions transparently
Build trust over time through visible reputation signals
All while keeping the experience approachable, self-service, and mobile-friendly.
